2024 Cattlewomen Pioneer Roping

Congratulations to the winners and all contestants.

On Sunday, October 27, the SLO CattleWomen held the annual Pioneer Roping. A big thank you to Elena Clark for all of her hard work throughout.

2024 Cattlemen’s Playday

 A wonderful day filled with families and fun. The goody bags given by the SLO Cattlemen were a huge hit for the youngsters, thank you Cattlemen.

 Thank you to all the helpers for making the day a success.

 San Luis Obispo Cattlewomen, Courtney Hartzell and Amanda Higgins won the Cattlewomen Branding, Congratulations Ladies!

 Our admired Cattlewoman, Kathy Loftus was at the helm taking new memberships and lending a hand wherever she could, thank you Kathy!

Polenta Dinner was a HUGE Success!

2024 California Mid-State Fair

This summer, with the help of the California Mid-State Fair Exhibits Department, we created a new exhibit highlighting San Luis Obispo County ranching. The "Wide Open Spaces" exhibit appeared in the Ponderosa Pavilion.

Our annual Fair booth Honored 7 " Women In Ranching" this year; Debbie Arnold, Margaret Avila, Caroline Bello, Lorraine Cagliero, Justine Dunn, Pat Johnson and Jean Rotta.

Ag. Venture held on October 10th at the Paso Robles Event Center was a huge success. We did 5 rotations of 30 students each.  Here students are doing an interactive activity on Beef Byproducts.  The class of 4th graders were divided into 4 teams and played an interactive, fun game where they had bowls of beef byproducts and the team that held up the byproduct that rhymed with the Halloween riddle;  won.  Each group of students that attended the station,  left with gelatine Halloween lips that are byproducts from beef.  Adults also enjoyed the station and commented on how they had no idea all of the byproducts that come from beef. See photos below.
