The SLOCCW are proud to announce that they have recently launched the “Giving Back with Beef: Stewardship and Scholarship” beef promotion program. The goal of this campaign is to promote beef through the facilitation of events that give back to those in need within the community. In addition, the campaign is also designed to create educational opportunities for members.

SLOCCW proudly presents a donation in the name of the SLO Board of Supervisors to the SLO Food Bank.

Over 100 packages (20+) pounds of beef jerky were shipped off to firefighters in Los Angeles this morning as part of the Giving Back with Beef campaign. We cannot express how grateful we are for the donations from Slim Sadie Jerky, Cattaneo Brothers and the personal contributions by members which allowed us to purchase so much local jerky for this effort.

Due to the tremendous generosity of member Felicia Morrison of Lazy Arrow Cattle Company, Station 33 in Paso Robles was able to deliver over 50lbs of beef jerky to those fighting the Palisades fire. Station 33 was sending crews down to contribute to the fire fighting effort. We greatly appreciate their efforts to help the citizens of Los Angeles.

President Nicole Nicholson Stainner and 1st Vice President Vicki Janssen had a wonderful time talking to Randy and Eric from What’s Up North County about SLOCCW, the beef industry, and the unit’s upcoming events.
